Turkish Education Program
Ibn Haldun University Turkish Teaching Application and Research Center (IHU TÖMER), which officially started its activities on December 3, 2017, provides Turkish education to international students, who constitute 35% of all students, in line with the university's "three language learning" policy. In addition to language education, activities are also carried out to provide students with general academic competence in language preparatory classes, which are the transition process to academic life.
In 2018, IHU TÖMER opened its doors to everyone who wants to learn Turkish and started to provide "Turkish Courses for Foreigners" with its experienced staff.
The academic calendar consists of five modules, starting in September and ending in July for preparatory classes.
Compulsory and elective Turkish preparatory trainings, each lasting 7 weeks; It has five different levels adapted to ADP criteria: A1, A2, B1, B2 and C1.
Academic reading and writing education begins with the B1 level.
Proficiency and Placement Exams are administered to every student who will enroll in the preparatory program or seek exemption.
Apart from the faculty preparation program, IHU TÖMER also conducts credit/non-credit Turkish courses given at undergraduate and graduate levels, Turkish courses given to other foreign language instructors, IHU Summer School Language Program Turkish courses and Turkish courses open outside the university.
Modular System
Our courses, which we have prepared based on a communicative and student-centered approach, are organized in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)* criteria. İHU TÖMER Turkish courses consist of a total of 6 levels, from A1 to C2.

IHU Tömer provides education in accordance with CEFR's new leveling criteria. Accordingly, the courses also include intermediate qualifications such as A2+, B2+.
