The application principles regarding the three language education to be provided to our national and international students were discussed at our university.

Following the discussions:

A. As stated in the ÖSYS Guide, our national students:

1. Those whose language of instruction is English or who are placed in programs partially in English

and have proficiency in English can optionally continue with the Arabic Preparation Program,

2. Those whose language of instruction is English or who are placed in programs partially in English

and do not have proficiency in English can continue with the English Preparation Program and

complete level 5 (CEFR: B2+),

3. The above-mentioned students, during their education, can achieve a B2 level in the Arabic

language through elective courses offered in Arabic,

4. Those placed in programs with Turkish as the language of instruction can optionally continue with

the English or Arabic Preparation Program; those who do not wish to continue with the optional

English or Arabic preparation program or cannot achieve success at the B2 level after optional

preparation education can achieve a B2 level in these languages through elective courses during

their education.

B. From our international students:

1. Those accepted into undergraduate programs with Turkish as the entirely or partially language of

instruction, whose Turkish language proficiency is not at the B2 level, can continue with the

Turkish Preparation Program,

2. Those placed in the Islamic Sciences program with partially English instruction, who do not have

proficiency in English, can attend the English Preparation Program; those without Turkish

language proficiency can attend the Turkish Preparation Program. Those who achieve proficiency

in both languages can reach a B2 level in Arabic until graduation,

3. From undergraduate program students with Turkish as the entirely language of instruction, those

with Turkish language proficiency at the B2 level or those who reach this level through preparatory

education can optionally continue with the English or Arabic Preparation Program, or start their

undergraduate education directly. Those starting their undergraduate education directly can reach a

B2 level in English and Arabic through elective courses and improve their Turkish language levels

to C1 during their education,

4. Those placed in programs where English is the medium of instruction or partially in English, who

do not have proficiency in English, can continue with the English Preparation Program. After

completing the English preparation program, those who have the required proficiency can start

their undergraduate education and reach a B2 level in Turkish and Arabic through elective courses

in these languages during their education.

C. It was decided that students coming through internal and external transfers should fulfill the language conditions specified in the above items in the same way.
