On Monday, September 15, the School of Languages at Ibn Haldun University welcomed its new students and marked the beginning of the 2025-2026 academic year. As part of the opening events, the English Department held a formal opening ceremony, while the Arabic Department organized a comprehensive orientation program over breakfast, bringing students and instructors together.
In their opening remarks, Director of the School of Languages Muhammed Furkan Alpat and Deputy Director Mahmut Uğur Arslan emphasized that students were embarking on a new academic chapter and underlined the School’s commitment to supporting them in reaching their goals by providing the best possible guidance in language learning.
Deputy Director Uğur Arslan delivered an informative presentation on the English preparatory program, offering students detailed insights into the academic process, learning opportunities, and language development resources available throughout the year.
The Arabic Department, on the other hand, designed a program aimed at preparing students both academically and socially for the new term. During the breakfast gathering, students had the chance to meet their instructors, while Coordinator Murdar Faress and Lecturer Mousab Olabi outlined the details of the preparatory curriculum. He also shared valuable strategies for effective language learning, practical study methods, and tips for enhancing language proficiency. In addition, students were introduced to the courses and activities they will take part in throughout the program.
The events provided a productive and enjoyable start to the academic year, helping students adapt both socially and academically as they embark on their educational journey.
