Organized by the School of Languages at Ibn Haldun University, the Russian Language and Culture Camp will be held for the second time this year in St. Petersburg, widely recognized as Russia's cultural capital. Scheduled to take place between 23 July and 5 August 2026, the program will bring together undergraduate and graduate students of Ibn Haldun University who have completed one academic year of elective Russian language courses.
Designed as an immersive learning experience, the program combines intensive Russian language instruction with opportunities to practice the language in authentic, everyday settings. Through classroom-based learning as well as interactive activities, participants will further develop their communicative competence while experiencing the language in its natural environment.
Throughout the program, students will also participate in cultural excursions and guided city tours, enabling them to explore the historical and cultural heritage of St. Petersburg. Visits to museums, cultural institutions, and significant historical landmarks will provide participants with first-hand exposure to Russian history, art, and society.
By integrating language education with cultural immersion, the program aims to strengthen participants' linguistic proficiency while fostering intercultural awareness and international experience. As the second edition of the Russian Language and Culture Camp, the initiative reflects Ibn Haldun University's continued commitment to providing students with meaningful opportunities to learn foreign languages through direct engagement with the cultures in which they are spoken.
