The 2026 program of the Arabic Language Teaching Academy, conducted in collaboration with our university and the Istanbul Provincial Directorate of National Education, commenced with an opening ceremony. The program, held at the Başakşehir Campus, was attended by the Istanbul Provincial Director of National Education, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Murat Mücahit Yentür, the Rector of Ibn Haldun University, Prof. Dr. Atilla Arkan, the Deputy Provincial Director of National Education, the Başakşehir District Director of National Education, and numerous teachers.
The opening program began with a promotional film about Ibn Haldun University. This was followed by a promotional video about the Arabic Language Teaching Academy, which was successfully implemented in the previous year.
In the speeches delivered at the opening of the program, the importance of efforts to improve the quality of Arabic language teaching was emphasized, and attention was drawn to the contributions that supporting teachers' professional development would make to the education system. It was stated that the Academy aims to strengthen teachers' subject matter knowledge, improve teaching methods and techniques, and make educational processes more effective.
It was stated that the Arabic Language Teaching Academy, developed based on the accumulated knowledge and experience of the previous period, will continue with a more comprehensive and systematic structure in 2026. The program will consist of three phases of training, where teachers will participate in a practice-based and interaction-oriented training process under the guidance of expert academics.
During the academy, lesson observations will be conducted, teachers' classroom practices will be evaluated on-site, and the impact of the knowledge gained in the academy on the field will be examined. A graduation ceremony will be held for successful participants at the end of the program, and certificates will be awarded.
The Arabic Language Teaching Academy aims to contribute to the professional development of teachers, improve the quality of Arabic language teaching, and create a sustainable development foundation in the field of education.
